About Founder and Lead Designer Alison Haltom
Balancing a creative and systematic approach to Interior Design, Alison has been in the industry for over a decade.
After earning her B.A. at New York University, she returned to Northern California to study Interior Design. She got her start at a high-end residential design firm in San Francisco, assisting on nationally acclaimed projects throughout the West Coast featured in publications such as Luxe Interiors, California Home + Design, and Silicon Valley Magazine. After moving to the Sacramento area, Alison branched out to the Design & Build industry where she worked on custom remodels with an emphasis on Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling and earned several awards from the California Capital NKBA for her designs.
Alison launched Design for Living in 2020 with the goal of making high-end design more approachable for working professionals and their families. The interior design process should be straight-forward, enjoyable, and result in a beautiful and curated home that is welcoming and relaxed.
About DESIGN ASSISTANT, NAOMI CRAWFORD
Hailing from the picturesque region of Natomas, Naomi brings an unwavering passion for the art of Interior Design. Her journey began at the esteemed American River College, where she diligently honed her skills and acquired profound knowledge in interior design. During her academic pursuit, she seized the opportunity to intern with Design for Living, embarking on a transformative chapter in her professional journey while completing her Interior Design certificate.
Naomi’s commitment to perfection and an innate ability to embrace some of Alison’s most unconventional ideas have showcased her as an ideal match for the creative ethos of Design for Living. She is an invaluable asset to the firm, breathing life into our clients’ visions with finesse and ingenuity.
